Tamilnadu had seen various Chief Minsiters since 1920. Initially Justice Party was more popular in Tamilnadu and they were able to hold their office from 1920 to 1937. Later congress Party came into prominence and they ruled Tamilnadu from 1937 to 1967. From 1967 till now it is the dravidian parties that is ruling Tamilnadu. The dravidian parties (DMK and ADMK) are the two most popular parties among people in Tamilnadu.
