Chennai region is expanding in a bigger way. Couple of districts and taluks are now added into chennai region. Tamilnadu Housing and Urban Development Minister R.Vaithilingam announced that Kancheepuram and Tiruvalluvar districts will come under Chennai region. Arakkonam Taluk, a part of Vellore Distirict will also come under Chennai Mega Region CMR.
Areas outside Chennai Mega Region is showing some rapid development. Kancheepuram and Tiruvallur districts had shown good improvement and so they are added into Chennai mega region. soon there is a possibility that Chennai Mega Region will expand as more and more areas outside CMR are developing fast.
