How to Check LPG Cylinder Expiry Date

gas Almost all household in India use LPG cylinders for cooking. Many of us don’t check for the expiry date for the cylinder. Yes, LPG cylinders also comes with an expiry date same as the food products and medicines that we use daily. It is important for us to check for the expiry date of the cylinder before using the gas cylinder. Below you can find the simple step to check the expiry of the LPG gas cylinder.
Check for any alphanumeric code on any of the three stems in the cylinder. You might be able to find a code like C12 for an example.
Here the first alphabet stands for the each quarter of the year and the numeric value stands for the year of manufacture.

For example: In C12
The alphabet stands for
A – First quarter of the year (January to March)
B - Second quarter of the year (April to June)
C - Third quarter of the year (July to September)
D - Fourth quarter of the year (October to December)

So C12 stands for the third quarter (July to September) and the manufacture year of 2012.
